Yummy Yummy Avo-Banana
![]() |
As you all know, I reside on the East Coast and sometimes
our winters can be a bit harsh. Beside the fact of trying to stay warm; I also
have to deal with issues of my hair. Most of my breakage occurs during the
winter months. The air can be so drying that
it sucks out all the moisture right out of my strands, which leaves my hair
feeling course and rough.
Well, about two years ago I said, “to hell with this, I am
not going to go through another cycle of this crap!” I began to do a little
research online to try and find information on how to retain moisture and
combat dryness of the hair. After I found and tried commercial products and
home remedies/recipes; the home remedies/recipes seemed to work best for me. I
came a across a Banana Avocado mask that did wonders for my hair. I used this
mask as a deep conditioner. Now keep in
mind…..everyone’s hair is different. What might work for me…may not work for you.
However, I will share the recipe that I used; it’s up to you to tweak it to
best fit your type of hair as I did.
Since this recipe didn't have name; I going to call it: Yummy Yummy Avo-Banana
1 small avocado or ½ of a large avocado
1 banana
1 egg
½ can of coconut milk
2 tbs of honey
2 tbs of olive oil
2 vitamin E pills
2 flax seed oil pills
Once you have all those ingredients in a mixing bowl; you
can use a small hand blender to whip them up into a creamy mix.
If you do try this mix or customized it to fit you. Please
let me know how it turned out.
