“The traveler see what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see” – Gilbert K. Chesterton

When I read this quote, I completely agreed with it. One of my life dreams is to travel the world. Well maybe not the whole world, but all of my top twenty countries I’d like to visit. There’s nothing more refreshing than being exposed to a new culture or custom.
As creatures of habit, I feel we tend to become so comfortable with our daily routine that we sometimes don’t realize how mundane things can become. I’m a firm believer in stepping outside of your comfort zone and shaking things up a bit. There are so many new experiences one is presented with when they have the ability to travel.

With that said the fact that I have a 9 to 5 and a huge financial responsibility call “student loans”. I am unable to truly live out my dream fully. I do however try to plan a full week to two week vacation to a destination outside of my residing state. I rarely visit my native island due to the fact that my family no longer lives there. When I do get an opportunity to travel internationally, it would most likely be to England where most my family resides.
In the past, I would cringe at the thought of planning a $3000 to $5000 trip. Each time the thought crossed my mind; I always found or made excuses about how the money can be put towards the reduction of my debt.
So far this traveling/vacation action plan that I have set in place has temporarily satisfied my urge to see the world outside the USA, but with any routine it’s starting to become stale.

I must admit that I am a complete “New Year’s resolution” offender. Like most people when the new year starts, they make a list of things that they would like to work on or accomplish throughout the year.  So this year my New Year’s resolution is to embrace the motto, “Where there’s a will…there’s a way.” I have decided that I will try to do more research on places I’d like to visit. I have also made the decision to see a travel agent and together construct a plan on how I can turn my traveling dreams into a reality.
On the other hand, I have already started researching some of the countries that are on my list top destination spots. I will post and share most of my findings with you. Listed below are my top twenty countries that I’d like to visit. If you have any ideas or live in any of these countries…please feel free to share or recommend places or sites to visit .
