Anyone who truly knows me, know that I love any type of pasta dishes. Pasta recipes are one of the quickest go-to dinner options. You can make it your own by adding any of your favorite ingredients.

One of my favorite pasta dish I like to make is baked stuffed shells.  I usually load these shells with ground beef or ground turkey (whichever one I’m in the mood for).  I don’t make my own pasta sauce, so from start to finish is quite easy. Below is the recipe for these stuffed shells.

30 cooked jumbo pasta shells

For the stuffing:
  • 2 tbs chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 tps ground black pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 small package of ground beef or turkey
  • 32 oz of Ricotta cheese

I first cook the ground meet first with all of the above ingredients except for the Ricotta cheese. Once the meat has cool quite a bit…I then add the Ricotta cheese.

  • 4 tablespoons grated fresh Parmesan cheese
  • 1 package of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 bottles of any pre-made pasta sauce of your choice

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Spread 2 cups of pasta sauce over bottom of two 11 x 7-inch baking dishes coated with cooking spray
  3. After preparing the stuffing, spoon 2 tablespoons stuffing into each shell. Set stuffed shells inside of dish coated with pasta sauce and cooking spray.
  4. Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish and top with the remaining sauce. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of Parmesan over sauce for each dish. Bake at 350° for 35 or 40 minutes; then add a topping of mozzarella cheese and melt for 5 minutes.
  5. Total baking time: 40 to 45 minutes
