Seven Ways to Healthy Summer Skin

Short shorts, bikinis, bronze skin and fun in the sun. It’s definitely summertime.  All though this is the best time of year… in my opinion…it’s also one of the harshest season for your skin. It’s a wonderful feeling being in the sun and feeling the rays on your skin, but it also can be a bit dangerous as well.

As we all know, too much exposure to the sun harmful rays can cause skin cancer, wrinkles, age spots and skin discoloration. If the below steps are not in your daily or weekly routine, here are seven ways you can keep your skin healthy for the summer. 

  • When heading to the beach or laying poolside, sunscreen is a must! Preferably SPF of 50 or higher.
  • Adding a healthy layer of face protecting sunscreen to your morning beauty
  • Body and face lotions that are enhanced or enriched with antioxidants
  • Lip care. Applying lip balm with sun protection
  • Exercise. Exercising is a great way to open up your pores and rid your body of toxins
  • Exfoliate.  Gentle exfoliation to clear away dead cells can help achieve a smooth and healthy glow.
  • Stay hydrated. Drinking amply amount of water and eating fruits and vegetables that contain plenty of water is a great way to keep you hydration levels up.
