Fashion & Style: Chad
Introduce yourself:
Hello everyone! My name is
Chad Molique and I am a Menswear Stylist based out of Columbus OH. Believe it or not I had just started my blog
Casually Tailored just about a month ago, and boy has it been exciting! I
really look forward to growing my blog and being able to inspire others.
How would you describe your sense of style?
I would have to describe my personal style as “Modern Casual.”
Don’t get me wrong… I love a great fitting suit or blazer, but I'm not
afraid to put an unconventional pattern with what is known as the traditional
staple in menswear. I like taking traditional styles and giving them a little
twist. I can dress something up or dress something down—it just depends on how
I'm feeling that day.
Where do you get your inspiration for each
look?
There is not one specific place where I would have to say I go to get my
inspiration. I am very fortunate that my surroundings are always changing, and
I can take inspiration from a walk down the street, surfing the web or even at
the grocery store. I am always taking ideas in, whether it’s a photo here or
jotting down a note over there... Maybe that’s why my iPhone says I don’t have
enough storage in the cloud anymore.
What’s your ‘Go-To’ outfit for when you need
to get ready in a hurry?
I can honestly say I have
a denim shirt for any occasion. If I
don’t feel like thinking about my outfit, but still want to look put together I
will go with one of those and a dark pair of denim.
What are the three favorite things in your
closet?
1.)
Burberry Blazer (for when I want
to look put together)
2.)
Selvedge Denim (for everyday)
3.)
Micro Print Shirts (i have quite
a few)
If you had the option of replacing all items
in your closet with items from a particular designer. Who would that be?
As cliché as
this might sound I think I would replace my whole wardrobe with J Crew. Their style and taste is very much like mine
and I would be able to be ready for any occasion whether it is dressy or
casual.
What are some of your favorite shops or websites
for clothes, shoes and accessories?
I really like
walking around Soho in New York City.
There is such a wide variety of shops and retailers, and because it is
New York they all have elevated store atmospheres. Just walking around you get a big dose of
inspiration and you feel like you can take on the world lol.
What fashion or styling tips would you give
to someone who wants to improve their sense of style?
“If it doesn’t fit, don’t
force it.” Nothing is worse than pulling together a killer outfit, only to find
out that the shirt is too big and the pants are too long. Take your time, know
your facts, and you will look sharp!
Is there a blog/webpage or Youtube channel
where we can find you?
