Fitness: 3 Of The Fitness Trends That Can Be Done Inside

Summer is almost over, but that doesn't mean your fitness routine has to be as well.  Ohhhhh…. And those winter months. Trust me I know, working out during the winter can be somewhat be a bit tough.  The harshness of the winter weather can be quite brutal, but the luckily 3 of the top fitness trends of 2014 can be done inside.  These fitness trends includes:


Yoga- the mental, physical, and spiritual practices which sole purpose is to transform body and mind. 

Here are some of the different styles of Yoga:

  • Yin- targets the connective tissues. This style of yoga targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
  • Viniyoga- may include pratices of pranayama, chanting, asana and meditation
  • Anusara- "Epitomized by the celebration of the heart". These sessions have a beginning, a middle and an end, which includes asana technique and yoga philosophies.
  • Bikram- Performs 26 postures and two breathing exercises in 105' heat


High-Intensity Interval Training- This type of fitness training consists of short, intense bursts of exercise with either active recovery or complete rest. Benefits include increasing aerobic and anaerobic fitness and increasing insulin sensitivity.


Body Weight Training- It combines cardio and strength training exercises that utilizes multiple muscle groups. This training strengthens the core and burns an increasingly amount fat.
