Oversize Yet Chic Night Outfit

Hey Luvs,

Today I am sharing the look I wore last weekend to the previewing of designer Faschinn new Spring/Summer collection.

I wanted my outfit to have a classic yet modern chic look. I knew that I would be doing a bit for photography for that event, so I knew that my outfit had to have the ability for me to be flex and bent to take photos.

Opted for an oversize mustard capri dress pants which was flowly comfortable. The blue and yellow striped jacket I wore was also a bit oversized as well, but I decided to add a super long braided belt that I wrapped into a style.

I paired the out fit with brown strappy Franco Sarto heels and a onyx cluster multi-chain statement necklace.

Let me know what you guys think. Also drop me a comment on some of your favorites night outfit ideas.

I Thought Spring Was Here

Hey Luvs,

Spring is here and like everyone else, I am am thrilled just knowing that day by day it's going to get warmer. So far...that is not the case. Its still cold, it's a bit gloomy and I still have to wear my bulky winter jacket.
With that being said, I had attended an a event about a week and a half ago and I wanted to wear something that was a bit "spring like". I was hoping that the weather would have warmed up so that I would have the chance to floral type wrap dress, but instead I opted to wear something that would keep me feeling warm throughout the day.

To be quite honest, I wasn't sure if there was a dress-code for the event, but  I knew I wanted to wear something that was chic and flirty.

I decided to wear a gorgeous sleeveless lace overlay burgundy mock-neck top with a gray blazer. I paired this beautiful top with blue jeans and a pair of blush velvet flat.

Outfit details:
Lace Burgundy Mock-neck Top- Xhilaration
Gray Blazer- H&M
Blue Jeans- Macy's
Gray Coat- Calvin Klein
Blush Velvet Shoes- H&M
Sunglasses- Sunglassing.com

Even though it was cold and a saw a few snow flurries... I couldn't resist the fact that there were a couple of food trucks that were serving delicious pina coladas!

Can the the 75 degree weather get here already......

Sorry I've Been Away....

Hey Luvs!

I know that I've been somewhat absent from the blog for the past few months. I am truly sorry, but I have been super busy and a lot has happened in the last four months. I know that I don't owe you an explanation because life happens, but  kind of feel that I do.

Hmmm...where should I start? I know...my 9 to 5. In the past four months, my department has gone through two company transfers. Because of this change, I was in Chicago for a week, new login and access to resources took forever. Our clients need extra "tlc"....for they were all confused and the best part of all is....my teammates and I are still unsure of the changes in our job responsibility....for they have not been rolled out as yet. To be quite honest, beside normal everyday life issues... I'm working later than normal....my 9 to 5 really has been taking up quite a chunk of my life.

However, I do have a few things down the pipeline that  I can't wait to post about. One of them being a FREE "Subscription" box that I will be giving away to one random subscriber per month. Rules and disclaimers to come, so stay tuned for the updates.

As far as my love for fashion. I was super excited to get the opportunity to attend Styleweek Northeast A/W  2018 this past February. I attended the Saturday night runway show which presented showcases from four designers. Each designer that night....had more than a few pieces that spoke to me! There were designs that had bold pop of colors and ones that had a glamorous tropical resort feel. Models strut down the runway wearing bold statement furs of different hues. There were pieces that showcased a street style that was edgy yet feminine. Honestly, I was so in aww by these designers....I felt as though I picked the best night out of the week. If you would like to see videos and photos from the show...head to my Instagram page @cultureofvenus.

Also in the next few weeks I will be attending a couple of cool fashion events. So stay tuned... I will be doing a recap post on those events.

When it come to beauty, I do have a couple new products that I have tried over the past few months. I will definitely be posting some review on what I think is great and not so great about those products.

Once again guys I am truly sorry that I have been m.i.a, but I'm promising you that I will try to regain a balance so that I am able to post more frequently. Drop me a comment below on what new have been happening to you.
